About the Community Care Associate Role

CCAs provide quality day-to-day care for seniors at nursing homes or senior care centres and are trained in cross-functional areas such as nursing and therapy. They work closely with clinical and therapy teams to ensure that seniors are equipped with skills for independent living.

CCAs are also trained to use technology and productivity tools which in turn, allows them to spend more time on direct care for seniors, including conducting basic therapy and nursing tasks.

CCAs can also look forward to advancement in their career through the ranks of CCA, Senior CCA, Community Care Executive to Community Care Manager.

As a CCA, you will provide seniors support in:

  • Activities of daily living (personal hygiene, feeding, transfers)
  • Curating recreational programmes and activities
  • Interacting and engaging seniors, including developing a supportive relationship between seniors and their family members, for their psychosocial well-being
  • Performing motion exercises, mobility training and rehabilitation activities
  • Nasogastric tube feeding and planning activities as part of nursing care plans
  • Serving pre-packed medication and applying prescribed topical medication
  • Performing basic wound care in residential care settings (only applicable to Senior CCAs)
