Introduction
Community rehabilitation centres provide therapy for seniors to help them regain and/ or maintain their ability for daily activities.
Who is this service for
Seniors who are recovering their ability to move, speak or swallow due to medical condition such as a stroke, heart condition, or fracture.
Services provided
These centres offer:
- Physiotherapy – focuses on movement-related issues caused by disability, illness, or injury, eg learning to walk again after a stroke.
- Speech therapy – focuses on swallowing and speech disorders due to stroke or dysphasia.

Cost
The cost, before any government subsidies, is:
- Active rehabilitation: starts from $55 per session
- Maintenance rehabilitation: starts from $56 per session.
Transport to and from the centre and home is available, at an additional cost.
To qualify for government subsidies, your loved one will need to be a Singapore Citizen or PR.
Subsidies are also means-tested (i.e. there is an income criteria).
